About Holy Mission

The Mission was established in 1971 in Kolkata with the aim of meeting the twin principles of Shewa (service to humanity) and Bhakti (devotion to God). In 1973, a centre was also opened in Pune with the aid of a substantial donation from Dada Ishwars father, Dada Rhijumal Balani, in memory of his wife. Since then, the number of centres has expanded to include places of worship and centres of service in Khandala and London.

Within each centre is a place of worship where devotees come to seek spiritual fulfilment, strength in prayer and experience divinity in celestial Hari Kirtan. They are also the focus of activities aimed at serving the needs of the community and fulfilling the humanitarian aims of the mission.

These centres provide spiritual and welfare support to families on occasions such as births, weddings and the passing away of loved ones and operate throughout the year, buzzing and alive with programmes and activities.

The trustees share the responsibility of the day to day running of the Missions activities, under the guiding principles of its founder, Dada Ishwar R. Balani. They render their services as acts of devotion and spend their time and resources in serving the ideals of the Mission.
