The London Centre acquired and developed a building for the use of its activities in December 1996. The acquisition of a freehold property in London was a big leap forward. This big beautiful building now provides services that meet the spiritual, cultural and welfare needs of Sindhis in London and around the world.
Over the years, the activities at the Sindhi Community House have increased considerably, and the space accommodating the Centres activities is no longer adequate.
We are delighted to announce that planning permission to extend the Mandirs premises was approved by the Barnet Council, London, some time ago and the new extension including a large hall, storage area, disabled toilet and a servery has been completed. Funds required to pay for the project total £250,000. Devotees have already donated enough funds to reduce this amount by a significant proportion.
